This position is located in the Office of Acquisition, Logistics and Construction, Office of Acquisition and Logistics.  The Incumbent serves as the Chancellor of the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA), which reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition and Logistics.  The Incumbent establishes and manages the policies, strategies, methodologies, procedures, training and other associated programs necessary to assure that the entire VA Acquisition workforce achieves and maintains necessary competencies and certifications.  The incumbent is the academic leader of six unique schools whose purpose is to assure the effectiveness and efficiency of the VA acquisition workforce. 

 

VA structures its SES positions into pay bands.  This is a pay band 3 position and the salary range is $119,554 to $165,300.   Exceptions to the salary cap may be considered in certain circumstances.

 

A recruitment/relocation incentive and/or Guaranteed Home Buyout may be authorized.
