This position is that of a Configuration Management (CM) Analyst within the Program Management Group (Code 1.0) of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River Maryland. The selectee serves in a staff capacity providing Program Managers, Air (PMA) and their respective Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) with CM process guidance and a variety of evaluative material needed to plan, execute and monitor the status of their acquisition programs. As a CM Analyst, the incumbent is tasked and responsible for providing CM guidance and valid and timely analytical data for responsible decision-making. The selectee serves as the primary IPT member for CM and carries out assigned tasks and functions across all group-working levels. The work efforts are generally accomplished in a decentralized manner in the offices of the program managers, acquisition managers, functional managers, commodity managers, weapon system managers, and other functional acquisition offices at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Headquarters and its field activities.

This position is located in NAWCAD 1.1 and is established to support the AV-8B Program Office (PMA-257). PMA-257 is under the control of Program Executive Officer Tactical Aircraft (PEO (T)) and is responsible for the life cycle management of all Marine Corp AV-8B aircraft, associated support equipment, and services for the U.S. Navy and Joint Program Office Allied customers. The F402-RR-408A/B Configuration Manager (CM) is responsible to support the AV-8 Deputy Program Manager and F402-RR-408A/B IPT Lead for the Configuration Management of the F402-RR-408A/B Engines.
