This position is assigned to the Strategic Planning Staff, Policy and Planning Division, Management Services Office, Office of the Executive Director. The Policy and Planning Division exercises Bureau-wide responsibility for the development and implementation of a framework of policies and guidelines that govern the management and operation of the Bureau and oversees the management planning process including development and maintenance of all Bureau's strategic planning documents. The Policy Planning Division and Strategic Planning Staff (SPA) promotes a unified strategy of manpower, resources and strategic planning and

oversight for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security's (DS) domestic and overseas operations.

 

As a Program Analyst, the incumbent conducts analysis of internal, external resources and assessment of current and future operations, plans for new programs and services, determines stakeholders' views and commitment, explores potential collaborative opportunities, identifies and resolves planning issues, facilitates open communication about direction, goals, targets, and strategies. The incumbent also assists program managers and senior leadership in designing and monitoring performance management systems.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
