A DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service) career offers you an opportunity to work in an award winning organization and to serve our Nation and those who defend it worldwide. DFAS provides payment services for the US Department of Defense. As an Accounting Technician you will maintain an assigned area of journals and ledgers completing practices and procedures supporting that assignment. Your duties will include responsibility for financial records, creating and maintaining files in accordance with established procedures and using computers programmed with accounting software. You will also work with customers resolving disagreements and verifying account information.
