This position is located in the Investigations Branch, Counterintelligence Division, Office of Investigations and Counterintelligence, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Department of State. The office is responsible for conducting and managing all DS criminal investigations, including policy and liaison; investigates threat and suspicious activity against State employees/facilities; conducts counterintelligence investigations; assesses and manages critical threat posts and personnel related to the post, and provides threat awareness briefings; conducts and manages all overseas criminal and administrative counterintelligence investigations and provides services to field offices.
The incumbent is responsible for database management, database searches using restricted government computer systems and commercial databases, record checks and case analysis duties in support of counterintelligence investigations.
