The Supervisory Accountant in the Office of Retail Securities, Division of Accounting and Risk Management, Securities Accounting Branch, is responsible for ensuring the accounting and financial integrity of information contained on Public Debt's Retail securities systems. The incumbent oversees daily operations, such as payments, transaction reconcilements and reporting, and ensures that all accounting guidelines, regulations, and policies are met. In addition, he/she resolves complex accounting problems which may affect the division, bureau, Financial Management Services, and Federal Reserve Banks.
This Treasury position is currently located in either the Bureau of the Public Debt or Financial Management Service. Upon completion of the planned consolidation of these two bureaus, the position will be located in the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, still within the Department of the Treasury.
