The work involves identifying, researching, and capturing new business opportunities for the Marshall Space Flight Center. Incumbent works to integrate mission plans and generate sustainable business plans and to formulate clearly communicated strategies and implementation plans. Manages overall development efforts for a significant and complex set of MSFC unsolicited proposals. Sets the organizational climate for individual efforts, establishing strategic direction and political approaches. Serves as an expert consultant in planning new programs and projects of national or international significance characterized by a constantly and sometimes greatly changing physical environment, critical problems, or other variables critical to the development of new business such as Space Transportation.
