This is a permanent, full-time position and serves as the Deputy Superintendent for Grand Canyon National Park. 

The incumbent serves as the principal assistant to the Superintendent (SES) of the Park and oversees general operations of Grand Canyon National Park which consists of approximately 1.2 million acres of land and water resources in Arizona.   Visitation approximates 5 million per year – primarily for purposes of recreation within a natural park environment.

The incumbent is the full Deputy to the Superintendent and fully shares the direction of all phases of the Park's program elements and work, and coordinates unique and complex, and/or highly sensitive projects and management objectives, and manages the Division of Administration, the Division of Concessions, the Division of Interpretation, the Division of Visitor & Resource Protection, the Division of Facility Management, the Division of Science & Resource Management, and the Division of Project Management.
