Mission Statement
This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, OASD (R&FM), (MPP), Officer and Enlisted Personnel Management. The employee serves as a senior manager and adviser to the Director and the executive leadership providing expert level research, reviews, and the development of analyses and recommendations for a wide range of highly complex and critical military human resources policy operations and programs. Responsible for policy development for force management and Active, Reserve, adn National Guard officer management.
The Under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness is responsible for developing policies and plans, conducting analyses, providing advice, making recommendations, and issuing guidance on DoD plans and programs.
