ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
A. RESTRICTION ON MOVEMENT: General restriction on movement after competitive appointment CFR 330.501: Employees must meet the three (3) month restriction on movement since their latest Career or Career Conditional competitive appointment.
B. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT (POSITIONS ABOVE THE GRADE 5): Under merit promotion procedures, Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the position announced to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. Time is credited based on calendar time served in a grade, regardless of the number of days or hours worked. If you currently hold or have previously held a position at the same (or equivalent) or higher grade/ level in the Federal government as of this announcement, you will meet the TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT.
This position is located within the Police Service at the Denver Campus of the Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS). This Service provides law enforcement and security support for the ECHCS; its subsidiaries, and the Fort Logan National Cemetery. The primary purpose of the position is to perform the essential functions of the job which include but are not limited to the suppression of crime and criminal activity, the protections of life and property, the apprehension and arrest of violators of criminal laws, the recovery familiarizing themselves with all aspects of the environment being protected (property layout, resources and personnel). Police initiate contact when unusual persons, circumstances present, and when accidents occur; making detailed reports on all such occurrences.
