The Justice Management Division, Finance Staff (FS), formulates and establishes Department-wide policies, procedures, and financial systems to support planning, programming, budgeting, accounting and other financial management activities. The FS administers the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) for the Offices, Boards and Divisions (OBDs), the Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and the Office of Justice Programs (OJP).
The UFSG Team is responsible for: (1) Requirements analysis for functional and business process changes associated with the implementation and operation of the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS); (2) Development of new policy and internal control requirements resulting from the implementation and operation of UFMS; (3) Oversee OBD UFMS implementation planning activities and execution, including development of standardized solutions; (4) Coordination and collaboration with UFMS Project Management Office to analyze, manage and resolve UFMS functional deficiencies; and (5) Development and maintenance of UFMS instructional materials and documentation.
The incumbent oversees the UFSGs Functional Team and as such performs the following duties and responsibilities.
