Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

 

The purpose of this position is to serve as the organization's Assistant Fire Chief for the Training Program with the primary responsibility for developing and conducting the overall Fire, Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Wild Land Firefighting, Physical Fitness and Wellness, Safety, CPR Certification, and Employee Development Training programs. Incumbent will develop and manage plans, programs and train division personnel and installation population in appropriate techniques and methods.Who May Apply: Current Army employees with competitive status (includes Army employees serving on a career or career conditional appointment).
