JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:
Currently authorized 12.25% Cost of Living Allowance - subject to change.
Hawaii is a beautiful state, but may be considered to have a high cost of living.   The median house price is $650K.    The rental market is high, as well.    Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year round including surfing, paddling, diving, fishing and hiking.    It is highly recommended that research be done about the cost of living in Hawaii prior to applying.  

 

Who May Apply:

• Current Army employees with competitive status (includes Army employees serving on a career or career-conditional appointment).
• Applicants eligible under Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA)
• Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) eligibles.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Travel and Transportation expenses may be authorized.

Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized.

Position is designated as Emergency Essential.

Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is 50-80 percent.

Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
