The Idaho Operations Office is responsible for oversight of the Nation's premier national nuclear energy and related technology development laboratory. The work is on the leading edge of technology and has the potential for high, long-term payback in terms of national energy resource conservation, development, and management.
As a Supervisory General Engineer/Physical Scientist, the selectee will serve as a Federal Project Director (FPD) within the AM for Waste Disposition and is responsible for overseeing all sub-projects and tasks, in one of two major projects that comprise the overall Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP). The FPD manages high dollar value, complex projects with significant resource requirements, new technology, and aggressive goals that are of high visibility for the Idaho Operations Office. As the FPD, serves as a senior project advisor and an agency level expert on project activities and processes.
