This position is a Chief Test Engineer and is located in the Test Performance Branch (Code 2340.1) located in the Test Engineering Division, Nuclear Engineering Department, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The branch is responsible for submarine reactor pant test program preparations including test sequence, test specifications, operating procedures, test procedures and test equipment and services; nuclear reactor plant test/operational engineering which includes coordination of all activities concerned, technical supervision of operations and all integrated propulsion plant tests that affect the reactor plant; analysis of test results and determining necessary changes to nuclear reactor plant systems or operational procedures as a result of tests.  This branch is ultimately responsible and held accountable for safety of the submarine reactor plant and associated reactor plant systems.
