The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) supports clinical and basic research to build the scientific foundation for clinical practice, prevent disease and disability, manage and eliminate symptoms caused by illness, and enhance end-of-life and palliative care. The Supervisory Heath Scientist (Deputy Branch Chief) to the Branch Chief will assist in the administrative, scientific, technical, and budgetary management responsibilities for the collaborative continual oversight, monitoring and management of the research contracts, grants and/or cooperative agreements within the branch and initiatives of the NINR.
