This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River. Industrial Hygienists focus on the prevention of occupational illness and disease. They identify and evaluate chemical, biological, physical, and other conditions affecting the health and efficiency of employees or citizens in the adjacent community. They formulate and recommend measures to prevent, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards. They promote occupational health programs that instruct and motivate managers and employees in the prevention as well as the correction of potential health hazards.
