Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

White Sands Missile Range is a unique tri-service facility for test, evaluation, research, and assessment of military systems and commercial products. We offer a broad assortment of testing capabilities and infrastructure, from management of the largest open-air/over-land missile range in the hemisphere to environmental testing chambers and computer modeling laboratories. We are an active military installation that maintains a high quality of life for customers, partners, and the workforce. The range is located in the Tularosa Basin of south-central New Mexico. The headquarters area is 30 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas. The range boundaries extend almost 100 miles north to south by 40 miles east to west. At almost 3,200 square miles the range is the largest military installation in the country.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Required frequent travel and Temporary Duty (TDY) which may exceed 50%

of the time.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized,

subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
