The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Safety and Occupational Health Manager for Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC), to oversee protection of natural, historical and cultural resources, to supervise and lead a small staff of safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and environmental protection professionals and to manage technical personnel who provide related services to PIADC federal and contracted organizations. This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of National Laboratories, Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC), which is located 1.8 miles off the northeast end of Long Island, NY.
