About the Position:
The incumbent works under the administrative and broad policy direction of the U.S. Forces Command/ FORSCOM (ACOM) Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 (ADCS, G-1, SES). Employee has independent responsibility for assigned programs to include development of policy, guidance, and program review. Employee independently plans designs, directs and carries out the program management work of the Plans Division, and is considered the professional, technical subject matter expert and program manager for FORSCOMs Health of the Force, Suicide Prevention, Family Well-Being, and Strategic Plans for the FORSCOM G1. Serves as the FORSCOM entry point (or portal) for all Installation Management functions. Coordinates and prioritizes base operations to include family, morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) resourcing on FORSCOM led installations. Refers only the most controversial or precedent setting problems to the supervisor for discussion, along with technically-sound recommendations for their resolution. Performance is reviewed for significance of accomplishments, attainment of organizational goals, and customer satisfaction with end results and quality of service. Work is normally accepted as authoritative and technically proficient.
