About the Position:
Serves as full deputy/alter ego to the FORSCOM Provost Marshal and as Chief, principal staff advisor and subject matter expert for the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Protection Division. Participates fully with the Provost Marshal in carrying out all programs and operations of the organization and providing leadership, direction, management, and supervision of programs, operations, and staff. Participates fully in determining programs or major projects that should be initiated, dropped or curtailed; changes in organization restructuring; long range planning; and program budget, funding, and manpower functions. Continuously studies and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of programs, projects, objectives and goals. Directs changes and implements better business practices. Assists in carrying out the full range of personnel management responsibilities. The opinion or direction of the incumbent is treated as if given by the Provost Marshal.
