This is permanent, full-time position with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, National Wildlife Refuge System, Devils Lake Wetland Management District, Devils Lake, North Dakota with a report to duty at Sullys Hill National Game Preserve, Fort Totten, North Dakota.
As a Park Ranger (Visitor Services Manager), the incumbent has responsibility for operating and maintaining an interagency visitor center as well as developing, managing and implementing a Visitor Services Program. This includes maintaining and operating a visitor services facility, developing and implementing interpretive and environmental education programs to a diverse audience; training visitor services and volunteer staffs, budget and contract responsibility; developing and implementing interpretive materials such as pamphlets, exhibits and signs; developing on-site and off-site environmental education programs; liaison with community organizations, friends groups and other interest groups; managing a volunteer program, and implementing and overseeing public outreach programs to increase understanding of an organizational mission, a special event, or related issues.
