The incumbent serves as the Chief of the IT Security Office within the Office of the Chief Information
Officer. The work involves establishing and implementing the policies that will govern planning and
technical management of the security aspects of Information Technology (IT) systems that support flight and/or testing of aerospace systems. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.

TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 4 YEARS. A promotion made under this announcement will be on a temporary basis with the option to be made permanent without further competition. For temporary promotions not made permanent, the selectee will be returned to their previous position or to a different position for which qualified, equivalent to their permanent grade and pay.

This is not a bargaining unit position (i.e. Supervisory - not covered under labor/management agreement).
