The incumbent of this position serves as Cemetery Director for two cemeteries and has full supervisory authority over all cemetery staff; oversees the day-to-day operations of the cemeteries to include verification of eligibility for interment, scheduling interments, opening and closing graves, and the proper placement of temporary and permanent markers.

This position is located at the Eagle Point National Cemetery located in Eagle Point, Oregon.  The incumbent of this position serves as an independent station head responsible for developing and implementing local administrative, financial and other resource management policies.  Incumbent has overall responsibility for planning, programming, coordinating and directing the administration and operation of a large national cemetery providing committal and burial services for our Nation’s Veterans, Active Duty Service members and their dependents.  For more information on the Department of Veterans Affairs, go to http://www.vacareers.va.gov/ .
