Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

This position is with the 11th Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility Johnstown, Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

 

Johnstown is in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, 41 miles west-southwest of Altoona and 70 miles east of Pittsburgh. The area has two major ski resorts nearby, several lakes for boating and fishing and has a bow, musket and rifle deer hunting season from September to December each year. The high-tech defense industry is now the main non-healthcare staple of the Johnstown economy, with the region pulling in well over $100M annually in Federal government contracts, punctuated by one of the premier defense trade shows in the U.S., the annual Showcase For Commerce.

 

Description of the working environment: The incumbant will work on the airfield and in a hangar.

 

This position is under the supervision of the Aviation Support Facility Supervisor.
