Every day, our Supervisory Operation Support Specialists serve as the technical subject matter expert in a variety of areas related to human resources; manage the organization, evaluation, and improvement of services and processes; and plan the work to be accomplished by subordinates and set and adjust short-term priorities. This position of SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST starts at a salary of $71,674.00 (GS-13 step 1), to $93,175.00 (GS-13 step 10).  Apply for this exciting opportunity to become a member of DHS US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

  • Texas Service Center - Dallas, TX - The vacancy announcement shows the location to be Dallas TX; however, the Texas Service Center has three sites; 7701 N. Stemmons Fwy, 8001 N. Stemmons Fwy, or 4141 St. Augustine Rd. The determination as to what location the position is assigned has not been determined at this time and may be at any of these locations.
  • Nebraska Service Center - Lincoln, NE
  • California Service Center - Laguna Niguel, CA
  • Vermont Service Center - St. Albans, VT or Essex, VT - The vacancy announcement shows the location to be St. Albans; however, the Vermont Service Center has two sites, St. Albans and Essex Junction, Vermont. The determination as to what location the position is assigned to has not been made at this time.

**Shift work may be required, shift differential may apply.** 

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT NOT TO EXCEED (1) ONE YEAR BUT MAY BE EXTENDED FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR UP TO A TOTAL OF (4) FOUR YEARS. SELECTEE(S) MAY BE CONVERTED WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION, IF THE POSITION BECOMES PERMANENT. SELECTEES WHO ARE NOT CONVERTED TO PERMANENT POSITIONS WILL RETURN TO THEIR FORMER POSITION OF RECORD OR LIKE POSITION, AFTER COMPLETION OF THE TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION THAT MAY BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME.

USCIS will not pay your relocation expenses.
This position is not in the bargaining unit.
This position is not considered "essential" for purposes of reporting to work when the facility might otherwise be closed.

Relocation expenses are authorized if you are assigned to the RAIO program and have been approved for rotation from an overseas assignment. Relocation expenses for employees assigned to an OCONUS location will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
