Position is at the Natural Resources Conservation Service State Office located in Colchester, Vermont. Individual serves as an Assistant State Conservationist (Programs) and has responsibility for the coordination, direction, and evaluation of program activities statewide. In addition, works with state staff members in making special assessments and developing planning strategies to expedite work. Serves as program manager for various assigned programs in the state and for programs of other agencies for which the NRCS has technical responsibility. Individual provides leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive soil, water, and resource conservation program and provides guidance on policies, procedures and implementation strategy. The position requires supervision of a technical support staff.
