About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, ACofS, G6 PLANS, OPS, PROGRAM RESOURCES DIV PLANS AND PROGRAMS BRANCH FORT BELVOIR, VA.
Fort Belvoir is approximately 15 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., five miles from Alexandria, VA and next door to the community of Mount Vernon, VA. You will serve as the principal staff advisor, senior engineering staff member within INSCOM providing engineering guidance and technical oversight on behalf of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G6. Leads, directs, coordinates, manages, executes, and integrates IT engineering and installation planning, programming, administration, integration, and performance review efforts that encompass the discipline of information technology and telecommunications systems architecture (data, applications, systems, hardware and software, communications capabilities, technical support, etc); information technology systems interoperability; development and maintenance of INSCOMs Engineering Portal; executive and application programming; IT/Telecommunication systems; systems analysis; design/development of automation applications; hardware/software Tier II and III technical support services.
