Boone Branch Health Clinic (BHC) is a Branch Clinic of Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia; a command with a history of providing continued professional medical care for over 172 years. Boone BHC stands ready to provide the necessary healthcare to our active duty components to maintain the highest state of readiness. The care of the military person's family is as important to help maintain this readiness. The mission of BHC is to provide quality health care to operating forces of all branches of the United States military, as well as occupational health services to eligible military and civilian personnel. This position is a Supervisory Occupational Health Nurse located at Joel T. Boone Branch Clinic, Occupational Medicine, under Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Virginia, Director for Primary Care Branch Clinics. This position is responsible for working independently to provide quality employee care in collaboration with physicians, industrial hygienists, safety specialists, and managers. This position is also responsible for the occupational health nursing program for a Medical Treatment Facility/Branch Facility (e.g., hospital or clinic).
This is a Temporary position not to exceed one year. The agency has an option of extending a temporary appointment up to a maximum of one additional year (24 months of total service).
