Fort McCoy is located in a good rural area, between Tomah and Sparta.  The areas offers commendable schools and reasonable housing costs situated between two major interstates.  Fort McCoy has an excellent Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program.  Activities open to employees include the Whitetail Ridge Recreation Activity (ski hill, tubing and other winter sports), a fitness center with Olympic-sized pool, saunas etc. and Pineview Recreation Area with an RV/camping park.  Website:  www.mccoy.army.mil
