Become a Park Ranger for the National Park Service.  Park Rangers play an essential role in managing the use of park resources and facilitating visitor enjoyment, patrol backcountry areas, provide emergency services, manage wildlife/human interactions on the roadways or in campgrounds, and encourage visitors to develop a sense of stewardship for park resources.
The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to (insert # of vacancies) temporary positions at (Insert Park /unit Name and State.).  Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year. Appointments may be terminated at any time and can be extended if workload and funding allow. Anticipated Entry on Duty: 10/21/2012
Biscayne National Park is located 30 miles south of Miami on the open waters of Biscayne Bay. The climate is sub-tropical with mild to dry winters (60-80 degrees) and hot, wet humid summers (80-90.degrees}with many mosquitoes present. Park Headquarters is located nine miles east of Homestead, Florida. Homestead provides medical (including hospital), banking, groceries, and educational facilities. Miami provides all the educational, medical, sporting and cultural features of a thriving multi-ethnic metropolitan area. The Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne bay lie at your doorstep to provide great swimming, windsurfing, canoeing, fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities. Government housing is not available.
