Minimum/Required Qualifications:

<br>Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. (by start date of employment) in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or closely related discipline; demonstrated ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and ability to develop an externally funded research program in the academic discipline/unit. The candidate(s) should be qualified to teach graduate courses and conduct research in his or her area of expertise; as well as teach undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Engineering Management.

<br>To be considered at the Associate Professor or Professor level, the candidate must have teaching experience, research experience, and a publications record commensurate with these levels to be granted the same rank at Oregon State University.  
<br>
<br>Position Duties:  
<br>
<br>50% Teaching
<br>2 - 6 courses per year (graduate and undergraduate), curriculum development, innovation in course delivery and design, advising of undergraduate and graduate students and extended education efforts. Develop and conduct student assessments and proper documentation.
<br>
<br>40% Research
<br>Development of externally funded nationally-recognized research program. Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and other publications forms and disseminate research through presentations at regional and national professional meetings. (2% supervise undergraduate student workers and graduate assistants.)
<br>
<br>10% Service
<br>Serve on school, college, and university committees, participate in professional activities, interact with students and outreach. Cooperation with the school faculty and staff members to support ongoing efforts is expected. Specific workload assignments are at the discretion of the School Head.
