Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in general accounting and financial systems for the company.

Principle Accountabilities
* Supervises daily activities of assigned staff to ensure efficiencies in compliance with corporate, government contractual and legal requirements
* Oversees and assures accounting and financial system strategies to ensure compliance with terms of company policy and applicable regulations
* Administers and interprets accounting policies
* Compiles composite reports from individual reports of subordinates for statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results required by management or government agencies.
* Maintains accurate records of earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results.
* Determines training and project implementation requirements and strategies.
* Prepares training plans, various accounting analysis, schedules exhibits, payroll and time & labor reconciliation and summaries in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and various laws.
* Develops strategies and plans for accounting and finance tasks to remove the manual tasks.
* Interfaces with vendors and/or customers on problems and complaints to develop a solution.
* Audits accounting and financial management systems for compliance with corporate, government contractual and legal requirements.

Knowledge & Skills
* Knowledge of financial systems that include PeopleSoft, Deltek One, and Deltek costpoint.
* Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational ability and detailed oriented.
* Hands on knowledge with program controls involving financial planning and analysis is highly desirable.
