Description: Responsible for functions related to paying vendors, collecting appropriate documentation for vendor set-up, determining when to pay sales tax on purchases, and research related to accounts payable.


Duties: Reviews, verifies and inputs all vendor invoices.
Establishes new vendors and maintains existing vendors in accounts payable system.
Provides timely response to vendor inquiries regarding status of invoices.
Routes invoices to the appropriate personnel for approval daily.
Match invoices to purchase orders in the accounting systems, routes errors as appropriate.
Processes vendor payments: including physical checks and ACH payments.
Responsible for reconciling vendor statements to the A/P Aging.
Responsible for keeping information confidential.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
Other functions may be assigned.

Qualifications: Skills Required:
Must be able to enter up to 500 invoices per day. Must know the difference between a Debit and a Credit. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Must have experience in Excel with an emphasis on importing data, using formulas, and formatting.

Reasoning ability:
Ability to use and apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Must be able to ?think outside the box but also follow instructions and company/department policies without wavering.

Education and/or Experience Required:
Five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
