This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters - State, Adjutant General’s  Personal Staff, Office of the Inspector General.  This position will function as the State Air National Guard (ANG) Inspector General (IG).  The purpose of the position is to serve as the Air Force/Air National Guard expert on all Air IG issues at the state level.  Secondary to resolving Air IG issues is the requirement to provide support to the State IG in investigating and resolving Army IG issues.  The position independently functions as the key link between the ANG Inspector General at the ANG Wing(s), the commander of the state ANG, and the Adjutant General in all matters related to the ANG.  This affects the readiness, discipline, efficiency, economy and morale of military and civilian personnel, equipment and associated management systems within the state.  The position also functions as the liaison between the full-time staff-integrated State IG office and drill-status ANG Wing IG in circumstances requiring State IG involvement.
