This position is in the Office of Field Operations (FO), Alaska BSEE Region and is directly related to safety of operations, protection of oil and gas facilities, conservation of natural resources and preservation of the environment.
At the full performance level of the position (GS-13) the incumbent will serve as a senior petroleum engineer to the RS/FO providing expert, technical expertise on offshore drilling, production, workover/completion, or other related operations on a regular basis on the most complex unconventional, state-of-the-art oil, gas and other mineral facilities under unique Arctic conditions in frontier offshore areas where new and unusual technology will be used.

Salary Range Information: GS-07: $53,088$65,926 per annum., GS-09: $63,536-$79,235 per annum., GS-11 $70,102-$89,101 per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level
BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
