About the Agency

Positions at the GS-06 and GS-07 level have been identified as one of the key fire management positions under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard. These positions has been categorized as a Senior Firefighter (SFF) and are subject to meeting the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position. *In addition to the base salary, you will receive a 5.57% cost of living allowance for  Fairbanks, Alaska.  This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and gradual decrease.
