The Indian Health Service (IHS) is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). The IHS goal is to raise Indian health status to the highest possible level. IHS provides leadership and direction to programs and activities designed to improve health outcomes to over 1.9 million AI/AN through a system of IHS, Tribal, and Urban operated facilities and programs.

This position is located in the Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing/Sendouts section of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Laboratory Department. Incumbent reports to the Phlebotomy Supervisor.

POSITION DETAILS: Three (3) permanent full-time Medical Technician positions in the Laboratory Department at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center.

 

Salary range:

GS-06: $36.059.00 - $46,872.00 Annually

GS-07: $40,071.00 - $52,092.00 Annually

 

Promotion potential: Yes, non-competitively to the GS-7 level.
