Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

This is a DEVELOPMENTAL POSITION that will only be filled at the GS-07 level.   The incumbent will work under close supervision in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed to prepare the incumbent to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the full performance duties. The incumbent will be non-competitively promoted to the target grade of GS-08 upon completion of the following requirements; (a) satisfactory demonstration of ability to perform at the higher grade level; (b) recommendation of promotion by supervisory; and (c) completion of all OPM qualifications and Conditions of Employment.
