CAVHS is a Level 1B complexity facility, with two main campuses [Little Rock and North Little Rock], eight community-based outpatient clinics, and a full range of inpatient and outpatient programs. CAVHS trains over 1600 healthcare professional each year including medical students, medical residents, fellows, nurses and numerous additional allied health professions. CAVHS serves over 65,000 veterans.

Duty Location/Campus: Anesthesiology Service, Little Rock Campus, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System

Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and after hour duties including night, weekends, and holidays. Hours may be adjusted based on Service needs.

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is recruiting for a full-time board certified Anesthesiologist. The Staff Anesthesiologist is accountable to the Chief of Anesthesiology, providing the most effective anesthetic care throughout the medical center in compliance with VA and VHA Directives and The Joint Commission accreditation standards. The preferred candidate will have strong communication, supervisory skills, and pertinent academic experience for providing the most effective, highest quality care throughout the medical center while meeting and exceeding compliance standards. The applicant must be board-certified or board-eligible and qualify for an academic appointment at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Physician will hold a full-time VA appointment. Total salary will be determined by a Compensation Pay Panel and is based on education, medical specialty and experience.
