Job description
In Application Innovation Services, the Banking/Financial Markets Associate Partner (AP) is a business development and delivery role in complex and integrated environments for large clients. This position requires a strong understanding of the Banking/Financial Markets Industry needs. This individual will be responsible for solutioning, selling, and delivery oversight and will be called upon to provide leadership and demonstrate deep industry subject matter expertise. The AP will team directly with IBM Partners from our strategic accounts and be responsible for identifying and leading sales efforts for both new and add on opportunities. The AP will have day-to-day responsibility for all financial and operational account management activities, including: pipeline management, revenue forecasts, bid & proposal management, and contract quality assurance and compliance. AP candidates need to demonstrate experience in building a profitable project portfolio and client relationships. This individual must be capable of working in a time-compressed, highly dynamic and potentially ambiguous client situation to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.

Since the majority of our consulting work is done at our client sites, this position requires up to 4-5 days of travel per week and willingness to travel extensively in various parts of the world.

It is also expected that newly hired resources into the Global Business Services U.S. practice live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 miles) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New York City, NY and surrounding area; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tulsa, OK; and Washington, DC.

Required
* Bachelor''s Degree
* At least 3 years experience in Banking and Financial Markets Industry/Consulting with hands on leadership, direction and delivery of large, complex, full lifecycle projects, including integration of ISV packages.
* At least 3 years experience in Banking and Financial Markets Industry/Consulting focusing on one or more of the following categories: Core Banking, Core Payments, Smarter Commerce, or Business Process Management.
* At least 2 years experience in working with Global Delivery model.
* At least 2 years experience in proven sales track record with individual sales of at least $4 million, with demonstrated proficiency in developing channel and client relationships.
* At least 3 years experience in managing P and L responsibilities.
* At least 3 years experience in client interaction/relationship building and must be able to work with client middle and executive management.
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Intermediate
