ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to complete and perform tasks under direct
supervision.
Ability to repair and service various vessels and
other equipment
Ability to operate a compressor, pressure washer,
needle gun, and various other pieces of small
equipment.
Ability to work under a compressed time schedule
to repair equipment as needed.
Maintain marine facility cleanliness, includes
fleet of boats and other marine equipment.
Ability to load/ unload drums, cylinders,
equipment from and into vans, flatbeds, trailers
Ability to load and unload containment boom,
sorbents, and other supplies as needed.
Ability to follow directions read/write/speak and
understand English read and understand common
danger placards / labels and hazardous warning
literature including site safety plans.
Must be able to understand and comply with company
and client safety standards.
Certified to operate a forklift and man lift
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
Requires High School or GED or equivalent
reading, writing and reasoning skills and 6 mos.
- 3 years experience performing related work fire
fighting, emergency response, general
construction, industrial cleaning. Qualified
employees must possess or be able to complete the
40/80-hour HAZWOPER certification depending on
state, plus possess 8 hour haz wop refresher
certificate, if due. Must be able to demonstrate
the ability to safely operate bobcats, soil
compactors, front end loaders, etc. Must have
completion of applicable training to operate
assigned equipment including large centrifugal
pumps and pressure washers Must have Marine
oriented project experience or one or more
specific labor trade task abilities, which greatly
enhance job performance. Must be Confined Space
Competent Person and CPR/First Aid certified.
