We are seeking a Field Safety Specialist!
POSITION OBJECTIVE
This Field Safety position will be working with multiple inpatient and non-inpatient programs to improve safety and reduce injury exposures. The Safety Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of safety management programs, safety training, and the maintenance of Telecares safety policies and initiatives related to staff and clients. This position will partner with the Director of Safety and Workers Compensation and Operations in the development of initiatives to promote safety culture. This position will provide leadership consultations and serve as a technical advisor to Telecares Safety Committees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS in Occupational Health and Safety or related field and/or comparable job experience, preferably in the medical or mental health field.
- Five to seven years of experience in Safety management. Certifications CSP, ASP, ARM or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge and experience administering risk management and loss prevention programs.
- Thorough knowledge of current safety practices.
- Ability to prepare statistical loss analysis reports and prepare recommendations to improve controls and systems that reduce exposures to financial losses that may result from injury claims.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, conduct training, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Travel required, must have a valid drivers license.
- Applicant must receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
