This role requires strong communication and organizational abilities in leading a cross-functional team composed of executives from sales, marketing, R & D, Clinical and Medical departments.Job Duties* Lead meetings to coordinate and prioritize activities related to medical communication (see below)* Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify opportunities for new scientific content to drive sales growth* Collaborate with clinical and R & D teams to develop clinical study strategy to support sales & marketing goals* Collaborate with medical affairs and KOLs to develop content and strategy for scientific publications* Collaborate with medical affairs, marketing and KOLs to develop and execute comprehensive plan for scientific meeting, including activities such as advisory board meetings, scientific presentations (podiums, posters, etc), competitive intelligence and KOL development* Serve as global liaison between regional medical directors and US resources, such as marketing, R & D, quality, regulatory, medical writing and biostatistics* Serve as high-level project manager to ensure on-time completion of deliverablesQualifications:* Advanced degree in life sciences; M.D. strongly preferred* Excellent/Contemporary knowledge of medical devices and the ophthalmic sector* Familiarity with clinical trials, medical writing and scientific meetings* Ability to engage editors/ organizers of prominent scientific journals and meetings* Excellent communication skills* Proven record of leading cross functional teams* Willingness to travelJob: Research/Development
