Assists with the management and development of the Educational Market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from cold calls, trade show leads, business directories, and other sources. Manages this through CRM.
Develops new business from above prospective customers.
Proactively markets the full product line that we offer and be able to easily explain the benefits to others.
Be able to easily calculate margins based on always changing pricing.
Processes customer requests for product information, price, availability, and design specs.
Processes customer purchase order by entering order into Axapta, following it through credit review, product management, allocation, QA testing, warehouse, and shipping.
Notifies customers of price changes, delivery changes, and new product information.
Assist in resolving credit issues, defective product issues, freight issues, pricing errors, and process sample or evaluation requests.
Performs account management by profiling and updating points of contact, correct ship to / bill to addresses, phone numbers, and current credit information including increased credit line requests.
Assist in scheduling meetings with potential customers and existing customers.
Travels to customer site as necessary
Major task of the day will consist of calling  emailing bookstores to develop the business
Other tasks assigned by Account Executive and Sales Director as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree B. A. from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Must be very comfortable with Excel
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
