1.Meet or exceed revenue targets by identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities within client accounts within assigned territory and selling QLogic products and solutions.
2.Establish and develop long-term customer commitment for QLogic technology through all QLogic Business Partners and OEMs. Work within an assigned team to develop account strategies.
3.Builds and maintains technical expertise in data center solutions in order to be able to represent and explain QLogic value proposition and differentiation in diverse customer environments, and specifically architect or configure a solution within each OEM partners environment.
4.Identify and create relationships with strategic customers and partners to drive joint sales engagements. Develop strategic relationships with leading system integrators and partners. Ability to structure mutually beneficial partnerships with OEMs, VARs and large system integrators.
5.Provide pre-sales technical support to customers and partners including delivery of webinars and technical enablement, e.g. on-site training.
Required Skills
- Technical knowledge and experience with storage and networking protocols including SCSI, FC, Ethernet, FCoE, FCIP, iSCSI and their associated topologies.
- Knowledge of the server, workstation, storage subsystem and related I/O markets is highly desirable.
Proven experience in successful field sales and business development is required. Knowledge of all OEM branded storage platforms and their deployments / use cases. Understanding of industry trends around cloud computing, end user computing with deep experience with Virtualization products.
- Proven ability to create presentations using PowerPoint and deliver using WebEx or similar delivery mechanism. Experience working with C-level constituencies with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships by articulating complex concepts at the correct level to varying audiences to ensure relevance. Outstanding documentation skills and presentation experience to all audiences with the ability to comfortably command attention while presenting.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or the equivalent in training and experience. Minimum of 7 - 10 years of Field Technical Sales and / or Product Marketing in computer system, storage subsystem, or related high technology field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The incumbent must have a broad industry perspective possess the creative ability to portray complex concepts in an interesting and succinct manner and be able to use varied communications tools to generate maximum customer interest and secure sales. Ability to build relationships and work in a team environment is critical.
