Responsible for preparing accounts for legal review or action dependent on activity. Also responsible for providing training and coaching for team members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Others may be assigned.* Responsible for maximum productivity in the recovery of delinquent accounts receivable. Documents all collection activity; maintains and organizes unit and responds to all correspondence, communication and/or verbal inquiries from all relevant parties.* Ensures the quality, integrity and proper work effort of assigned accounts.* Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulations, relevant to the area of operation.* Records and maintains complete and accurate documentation of all activity performed on appropriate medium.* Reviews explanation of benefits (EOB) and or contracts to verify responsible parties.* Prepares unrecoverable accounts for assignment to legal counsel.* Prepares for appeals and revised billing as required.* Provides coaching and training to lower level staff.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
