The Real Estate Specialist is responsible for processing Payoff Demands from Escrow Companies and Real Estate Production. Maintenance of mortgage accounts. Responding to members inquires regarding Credit Union policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Communicate Wescoms policies and procedures for Payoff Demands to Escrow companies. Complete Payoff Request Forms received from Escrow Companies and RE Production within the time guidelines established by Wescom. Compile data from Symitar and FICS to determine loan payoff amount.
Process Payoff Demands received from Escrow companies and Real Estate Production in a timely manner. Pull files and review loan documents for completeness and accuracy. Resolve any discrepancies with file data.
Calculate totals for loan payoffs, process check for deposit and submit payments.  Allocate funds to various general ledger accounts, payoff loan balance and interest.  Update loan files and all applicable system data to reflect loan payoffs.  Prepare Payoff Report using Demand Software.
Prepare Reconveyance documents confirming completeness and accuracy of payoff amount received from Escrow Company based on documents, Symitar and FICS.  Submission of documents in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
Respond to member request to reverse and set-up payments, research inquiries, process sub-account transfers, sets up auto pays, principal only payments and adjust interest rates. Provide back up for other Real Estate Service Reps.
Performs the activities and projects as assigned and requested by the department management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required A minimum of two years previous Credit Union, Banking, Mortgage Brokerage, and Real Estate Lending experience are essential.

Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Time management and organizational skills
Data entry and basic math skills
Analytical skills and demonstrate good judgment
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and other required software.
Proficient in FICS and Symitar.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
2 years High School/GED
