Description The Humboldt State University Library invites
applications for two full-time, 10-month, tenure-track positions
1 Librarian for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social
Sciences http//www.humboldt.edu/cahss/ and 2 Librarian for
the College of Natural Resources and Sciences
http//www.humboldt.edu/cnrs/.  We seek collaborative and
innovative librarians to focus on development and delivery of
user-centered library services to two of the Universitys three
colleges.
Professional Qualifications
Librarian for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
Job #7538
Minimum Qualifications
ALA accredited Masters degree in Library Science, or an ALA
accredited degree from an equivalent program
One or more years of professional post-MLS academic or
research library experience relevant to this position
An undergraduate degree in a discipline of the arts,
humanities, or social sciences
Experience in collection development in the arts,  humanities,
or social sciences
Experience in  specialized and general reference service
Experience with information literacy instruction and outreach
Experience with standard academic research databases
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
skills
Commitment and/or experience promoting and fostering a
learning environment that is supportive of individuals from
diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in the natural, physical, or
environmental sciences
Experience in collection development in the sciences
Experience in  scientific and general reference service
Experience with information literacy instruction and outreach
Experience with standard academic research and scientific
databases
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
skills
Commitment and/or experience promoting and fostering a
learning environment that is supportive of individuals from
diverse backgrounds.
At the time of appointment, the successful candidates, if not U.S.
citizens, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship
and Immigration Services to work in the United States.
Evidence of degrees is required at time of hire.
