Provide subject matter expertise in the area of safety and industrial hygiene for project team to support the integration of Safety and industrial hygiene into the scope, design and construction phases of a project. Strategic projects have an average of 200 projects to complete in any calendar year. These projects range in cost from 20,000 to 20 million. Most projects involve the renovation or demolition of existing structures to allow for new components.DutiesQualifications:Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in occupational safety and health, environmental health engineering, physical science, or natural science. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general practice of safety and industrial hygiene including asbestos.Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate the intent of code and regulations.Ability to work with minimum direct supervision Ability to prioritize tasks within a fast paced dynamic environment Strong working knowledge of safety & health regulations and industrial hygiene sampling equipment & procedures Proficient in MS Office products Maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.Willingness to work unscheduled or scheduled overtime during refueling windows (45 days a year) California state AHERA certification for Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Supervisor, Management Planner, and Project Designer.
